How our free French level test works

A real assessment by our experts — not an automated quiz. Here's exactly what to expect, start to finish.

Plenty of sites give you a quick online quiz. We do it differently: our expert looks at a short piece of your real writing and speaks with you, then tells you your CEFR level (A1–C2) and which course to join. It's free, and it takes just a few minutes of your time.

    Fill in the short form

    Your name, phone, WhatsApp and email, plus the level you think you're at. You'll need to already have at least an A1 level — otherwise the writing step won't open. It takes under a minute.

    Write a short text

    You'll get a writing prompt matched to your target level (A2, B1 or B2). Write a short paragraph on your own — no preparation, no help, no translator. The little mistakes are exactly what tell us your real level.

    We review & call you on WhatsApp

    Our expert reads your writing, then contacts you for a short oral conversation — so we assess both your written and spoken French.
